A fantastic area for settling down or investing in real estate is Denver Colorado. The city is young, clean and green, boasting more than 200 parks with scores of thoroughfares that are tree-lined. Denver's three boom eras are reflected in the architectural styles of the homes for sale in that city: contemporary, when skyscrapers were quickly added to the city's skyline during the energy boom; turn-of-the-century, when gold was found in Cripple Creek and Victorian, when silver was discovered in Leadville.

There is a downtown area that is central, different than some cities in the West. The performing arts complex,5,200 hotel rooms, a wide variety of shops, the city's convention complex, department stores, nightspots and restaurants and  are located within easy walking distance here. A few of the top attractions of the city include; the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado History Museum and the United States Mint.  A pedestrian mall that is one mile long transverses the center of downtown Denver. It is surrounded by a number of plazas and parks that provide respite from the huge skyscrapers and offer lookout areas from which one can appreciate and see the modern architecture.

The area affectionately known as "LoDo" by locals, or lower downtown, is located on the northern fringe of downtown Denver and is the best place in America to find many Victorian buildings and old warehouses renovated and repurposed into restaurants, offices, shops and art galleries. The cities popular brew pubs, concentrated in one area, offer micro breweries and six large brew pubs, each of them brewing several unique beers.

The population since 1960 has more than doubled in Denver. In 2000, the City & County of Denver boasted a population of 554,636, which was more than that of the entire state of Wyoming (population 480,000). There is a 2.4 million population in the metro six county areas.

Since the year 1990 there has been an increase of 29.8% in the metro population of Denver. The 20th biggest metro region in the US, Denver owns the 10th greatest downtown area.

With more than one million people migrating to Colorado during the last ten years, all of the state is going through a population explosion. Expanding 30.5% from 1990 to 2000, Colorado’s population now stands at 4,301,261 total residents. Denver is known as the third state with the fastest growth in the last
