Capitol Hill Denver Colorado Homes & Real Estate
![]() |
Inside the boundary of Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood, you will discover a diverse real estate market and one of the most heterogeneous neighborhoods in the entire city. Young people with pink hair, tattoos and piercings live in the plethora of studio and single bedroom apartments in the area that is called "Cap Hill" for short and that has a boundary of Colfax, Broadway, 6th Avenue and Downing.
Capitol Hill abuts a grassy field know as Cheeseman Park, which is actually north of the "Hill" despite the belief of many that it is Capitol Hill park. Go there any afternoon on the weekend, and you will find the pathway that is dirt that goes around the park filled with runners, walkers with dogs and baby strollers. On Logan Street and 7th, Governor's Park contains a swing that few used due to, "it just doesn't look cool" attitude. That has all changed. Denver's evokes a free spirit and everyone is very easy going.
In contrast, Govornor's Park Bar & Grill is always overrun with patrons, particularly during its famous happy hour, but then again everyone loves happy hour! A bit further is Charlie Brown's, another bar in the area and much favored by road-weary and beat tired authors, Ginsburg and Kerouac. The old piano bar which is over 35 years old is in the same building as the Colburn Hotel, among the many accommodations available on the "Hill". Situated opposite the street on Grant and 10th, is another choice, the Burnsley Hotel. If you are not interested in traditional hotel accommodations then give Capitol Hill, Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn a shot, and be sure to go check out to Penn Street Perk in the morning and enjoy the only coffee shop in the neighborhood to give Starbucks a run for their money.
In any case, Capitol Hill is very charming and offers something for everyone.
